JOB SUMMARY
The Criminal Intelligence Analyst (CIA) will perform advanced and complex technical analytical duties requiring professional knowledge and skills in data research, analysis, and assessments. The CIA will formulate Research and Analysis Division (RAD) recommendations and communicate/disseminate findings effectively to Senior RAD Staff and/or Pasco Sheriff’s Office Command Staff. The CIA will produce written and visual aid product assessments in a timely and accurate manner to decision-makers for diverse types of investigations and operations. The CIA will provide intelligence to patrol officers, detectives and specialty units for internal and external agencies. The CIA must be able to work independently, as a team member, and exercise dedication and self-initiative. EOE/ADA
Requirements
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice or a related field from an accredited college or university required. High school diploma with military training and four (4) years’ experience in a related AFSC/MOS or FDLE Law Enforcement Analyst Certification may be accepted in lieu of degree. Pursuant to F.S. 112.219, related work experience is authorized as a substitute for this position’s postsecondary educational requirement(s). A minimum of four (4) years of experience in law enforcement or military intelligence collection and analysis from a recognized law enforcement/military intelligence operation or Fusion Center, or related academic research outside of the normal academic requirements or course work preferred. Mid-Strong background in Microsoft Office Excel and Power-Point (testing will be conducted for both). Experience working in Microsoft Access preferred. Unescorted CJIS clearance as authorized by FDLE is required. This position requires a Valid Florida Driver’s License.

The physical abilities listed below are estimates of time spent during a typical workday to perform essential functions and responsibilities. Members in this position may be required to:
Sit up to 8 hours per day
Stand up to 2 hour per day
Walk up to 2 hour per day
Occasionally lift up to 10 lbs.
Occasionally bend, squat, reach, kneel or twist
Other Requirements:
20/40 vision (corrected/uncorrected)
Ability to hear conversation at a normal level (assisted or unassisted)
