GENERAL JOB INFORMATION

Job Title: Business Intelligence Analyst
Organization/ Department: Group Technology
Reports to: Lead Business Analysis & Demand Management
Salary Grade/ Band: 3C

JOB CONTEXT
Assist in the Ecobank's BI Systems transformation.
Translate business requirements into dashboards, reports and data models.
Create custom end user tools for reports and analyses that support business strategy analysis, initiative performance reporting.
Create dashboards and scorecards templates.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Create new reporting data models by working with internal clients, directors, analysts, and developers to deliver high-performance, high-integrity business intelligence reporting
• Build, maintain and enhance dashboards, reports, data models and score card
• Work closely with analysts, product owners, and other stakeholders to understand their information needs and develop technical solutions.
• Work with internal constituents to understand business requirements and goals, and help capture content, and features for layout of our reporting environments.
• Develop ad-hoc and stored-procedure queries to investigate data issues or create new reports structures for business units
• Builds reports using SSRS, Qlikview or Business Objects
• Assist in the creation of ETL processes to populate summary data structures and analysis Cubes
• Use knowledge of tools to create extract analysis from cubed or tabular data
• Assist in defining data access methods or processes for data sources upon which all future reporting will be built.
• Participate in brainstorming sessions regarding functional requirements, content organization, process flow, report specifications, and technical integration.
• Create data models to show key components of source systems and perform profiling of source data.

JOB PROFILE
Experience & Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, MIS, Math or Business Administration and other related experiences.
• Experience with SQL Database (SQL, Oracle, MySQL), SSIS, & other BI is a plus.
• Understands relational database and star schema concepts
• Experience with Microsoft Excel / PowerPivot
• Understanding of MS SharePoint BI is a plus.
• Financial industry experience is a plus.
• Able to quickly grasp both technology and business concepts in an ever-changing environment
• Strong analytical thinking, problem solver, and attention to detail
• The ability to understand unique business needs and translate them into technical requirements
• Built multi-dimensional reports and understand the commonly used tools
